Relocation of Singapore Cruise Centre and Closure of HarbourFront Centre

Travelers heading to Batam and other Indonesian destinations should be aware of significant upcoming changes to ferry operations at HarbourFront. The existing HarbourFront Centre will officially cease all operations on July 27 to accommodate a major redevelopment project by real estate developer Mapletree. The site will be transformed into a modern 33-storey building featuring office and retail spaces, with an expected completion date in the first half of 2031. Because the future complex will no longer house a ferry and cruise terminal, all related operations are moving to a new, permanent facility.
The new Singapore Cruise Centre terminal is located at 5 HarbourFront Avenue, just 70 meters away from the existing facility. To ensure easy access, passengers can reach the new terminal via sheltered walkways that connect directly to HarbourFront MRT station Exit B and VivoCity mall. Since parking spaces at the new location are highly limited, all travelers are strongly encouraged to utilize public transportation.

To facilitate a smooth transition, the relocation of ferry operations will be conducted in two phases during the month of July. Beginning on July 7, the new terminal will commence operations specifically for passengers traveling with Batam Fast Ferry. Subsequently, on July 15, the move will be fully complete when all remaining operators which include Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Sindo Ferry, and Indo Falcon Shipping & Travel along with international cruise operations, officially transition to the new building. This newly upgraded terminal features technology-enabled services designed to significantly enhance the overall passenger experience.
Despite the physical relocation of the terminal, there will be absolutely no disruptions to existing travel arrangements. The Singapore Cruise Centre has confirmed that there are no changes to ferry routes, scheduling, or the locations of the ship berths. All ferry services heading to destinations in Indonesia, including Batam Centre, Harbour Bay, Sekupang, Tanjung Balai in Karimun, Gold Coast, and Nirup Island, will continue to operate exactly as usual to ensure a seamless journey for all passengers.
